Press kit
There is a kit, it is written, and it is not published yet. Releasing it before the event it describes would be an announcement of something that has not happened — which is the one thing this movement has promised never to do.
What will be in it
Named, so that "we have a press kit" is a checkable statement rather than a promise: a fact sheet, an essay on our own odds of failing with the conditions under which we stop, an explainer of the escrow launch, the fee-stack disclosure, a naming and usage guide for journalists, reusable boilerplate paragraphs, the badge asset list, and specimen certificates watermarked as specimens. The logo half of that asset list is below and needs no kit: the files exist, so withholding them would describe nothing that has not happened.
Most of what a kit would carry is already public and needs no kit at all — the manifesto, the comparison table with its honest-answer rows, the FAQ including the five attacks this project expects, the licence text, the statutes, where the money goes, what happens if the activity stops, and what we can never do. Nothing in the kit will contradict any of them; where a figure appears in both, the page is the source and the kit is the copy.
Before then
Write to press@purposesource.org — the published press mailbox, which is a mailbox and not a person. The response target is 5 business days, and it is a target rather than a commitment because the operating team is small and saying otherwise would be the first thing on this site that was not true. We do no cold outreach, so if you have not heard from us, that is the policy working.
Brand assets
The movement's own marks, at full size, cleaned to transparent PNG. Nothing in this section is a certificate or a badge — those are issued artifacts, and a picture of one proves nothing. There is no vector master yet: these are raster renders, good for screens and not yet for print, which is stated here rather than discovered by whoever tries to set one in a magazine.
-
purpose-source-mark.png1024×1024The symbol alone.
Avatars and app icons. Every favicon and touch icon on this site is derived from it.
-
purpose-source-mark-alt.png1024×1024The alternate render of the symbol.
Kept as the alternate. Nothing uses it by default.
-
purpose-source-logo-horizontal.png2084×458The horizontal lockup, no tagline.
Anywhere there is width: page headers — this site's own header carries its 96-pixel export — e-mail signatures, documents, slides.
-
purpose-source-logo-horizontal-alt.png2162×488The alternate horizontal lockup.
Alternate. Not used by default.
-
purpose-source-logo-horizontal-dark.png2084×458The horizontal lockup for dark grounds — the light file with its navy recoloured, rather than a separately drawn render.
Dark grounds only: dark slides, dark social cards, and this site's header in dark mode.
-
purpose-source-logo-stacked.png1070×797The stacked lockup, no tagline.
Square-ish placements: social cards, print, a kit cover.
-
purpose-source-logo-stacked-two-line.png1029×1065The stacked lockup with the wordmark broken over two lines.
Narrow placements: app icons with text, badges, tall banners.
-
purpose-source-logo-horizontal-tagline.png2088×461The horizontal lockup carrying the tagline.
“Better software · A brighter tomorrow”
Brand pages and the press kit. Never the site header.

“Better software · A brighter tomorrow”
Brand pages and the press kit. Never the site header.
Colours
Medians measured off the renders, not a declared palette — the palette is the vector master's job, and until it exists these two values are the whole of it.

The left chevron, the hand, and the wordmark. - Source green
#0ca87c
The right chevron, the right of the hand, and the tagline's dot.
What each file means, what is derived from it and what is still owed are in the README beside them. These are the Association's marks. You are welcome to use them under the publicity and brand-use policy, without requesting permission first.
